When you login to a live web conference through ProviderPRO.net, you will be asked to enter a "Meeting ID Number."
The purpose of this Quick Reference Guide is to guide you through the process of logging in to, and participating in, live web events after you have submitted the Meeting ID number. We recommend that you print this guide prior to a live web event, and have it accessible as you commence the login process.
ProviderLAW will be regularly updating this guide. If you have printed a previous version of this guide, please note that this version replaces all earlier versions.

What Should You Do If a Meeting Room is Reported as "FULL"? |
Additional meeting rooms may have already been set up to handle the overflow.
- If registration was REQUIRED for the event, call the meeting organizer listed in your confirmation, on the online conference schedule, and on the conference description page. The online conference schedule can be accessed by visiting www.providerpro.net/conferences/schedule.php. For events presented by ProviderLAW, call 610-756-3795.
- If registration was NOT required...
Revisit or "refresh" the conference description page associated with the event to see if any additional meeting rooms have been set up. To do this, visit the online conference schedule at www.providerpro.net/conferences/schedule.php. Locate the conference which you are trying to attend. Once you've located the conference, click on the link to the description of the event. Once the description page appears, scroll down the page down until you see the section where the Meeting ID information is posted. If several Meeting ID Numbers are posted, print the page. Click on the link entitled, Login Now, or Login to a Live Web Event Now. Try submitting each of the Meeting ID Numbers one at a time to see if any of the rooms have any available seats left.
If all of the meeting rooms are reported as "FULL," we encourage you to review the conference schedule for a future date, or contact the event organizer and request that the program be held again.

Please note – if you are logging in earlier than is necessary (i.e., more than 30 minutes early), once you enter the ID number below, you may see the GoToMeeting window to the left or some other similar message. That's OK. Once the presenter "arrives" and enables the program, you will soon see a revolving series of PowerPoint slides. These slides will contain instructions for accessing the conference call portion of the program and tips for participating in the event. |

"Raising Your Hand" to Ask Questions |
Questions and discussion are an integral part of any conference. As in the case of on-site programs, however, we ask that you "raise your hand" prior to asking questions. Here are three ways you can do this:
METHOD 1 – Send the Presenter a Fax. For simplicity, just include your first name and a very brief description of the question. You do not need to spend a lot of time trying to draft your question.
METHOD 2 – Send the Presenter a "Chat." To access the chat feature, click on the "grab tab," select the presenter in the "To" field, type your question in the space provided and submit. For simplicity, just include a very brief description of the question. You do not need to spend a lot of time trying to draft your question.
METHOD 3 – Say Your First Name. Unmute your phone first by pressing "6." By saying your first name, it not only gives the presenter a way of calling on you, in large conferences it will certainly help the presenter determine who "raised their hand" first. Don't forget to mute your phone again after you and the presenter have finished the discussion. If the conference becomes too large to ask questions in this fashion, the organizers may need to mute all phones at the organizer level and to handle questions by other means.

Delays Due to Dial-Up Internet Connection – Screen Views Could Take 10 Seconds or More to Transmit |
If you have a slow connection to the Internet, please be aware that it may take approximately 10 seconds for you to see the new slides as we "flip" them. |
If the Presenter's Voice Sounds "Disrupted," It May Be Due to the Internet |
If the presenter is speaking over the Internet, or you are listening to audio through the Internet, either way you may experience "disruptions" in the speaker's voice. If you are listening to the audio through the Internet, and disruptions occur, we recommend that you disconnect from the conference call portion of the program, and re-establish contact with the conference call through a traditional telephone line.

In the Event of a Technical Failure, Stay Tuned.... |
Any number of technical failures can occur in the course of a live web conference. Here are some of the main types of technical failures and what you should do in the event that one of them occurs.
You Somehow Get "Bumped" From the Slide Portion of the Program. Simply go to our web site and log back into the program with your Meeting ID Number. If you see a message that the meeting has ended, stay tuned. The presenter's slides should re-appear shortly.
Your Internet Connection Fails. We recommend that you print the slides and handouts prior to the program for this very reason. If your Internet connection fails, and you are unable to re-establish contact, you should still be able to follow along with the discussion by means of the conference call.
The Organizer's Internet Connection Fails. Stay tuned. Within about five (5) minutes, the organizer will display a slide on your computer monitor with a new conference call phone number and access code.
The Conference Call Fails. Stay tuned. In most cases, the connection should repair itself relatively quickly. If not, the organizer will either continue with the presentation via conference call, or will postpone the event to a later date.
